The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC) has categorically denied reports circulating on social media alleging that oil pollution has reached Qatarās shores, stressing that the claims are false and misleading.
In its official statement, the ministry confirmed that environmental monitoring operations and field inspection campaigns remain ongoing in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the safety of Qatarās marine and coastal environment.
Officials emphasized that the ministry continues to conduct comprehensive assessments to safeguard ecological integrity, adding that no evidence supports the rumors being shared online.
The MECC further urged the public to rely on official sources for accurate information and avoid spreading unverified claims or rumors, underscoring the importance of responsible communication in protecting public trust and environmental awareness.
